How to move from cards or Excel to a digital system
Migrating does not have to be traumatic. With good preparation, the change can be done in a few days. These are the recommended steps.- Do a complete physical inventory. Count everything that is actually in the warehouse. This count will be the basis for the system's opening balances.
- Clean up the product catalog. Give each product a unique code, check names, units of measure and costs, and remove items that are no longer handled.

- Decide what history to keep. You can load previous movements to have statistics from day one, or start from scratch and keep the old paper records archived.
- Set up users and permissions. Assign who records purchases, who records sales and who can only view. That protects the information and keeps the operation organized.
