The audit that saves your inventory: find losses before they eliminate you

The 'book inventory vs. shelf inventory' problem

In a small business, the inventory in the system almost never matches what's on the shelves. A lost shipment, an item counted twice, or an unregistered scratch create differences that invite theft. Without regular audits, those small flaws grow silently.

Cyclical audit: review, adjust and prevent

  • Close by parts: instead of counting everything at once, audit only a few categories per week using the Counts and Adjustments module.
  • Compare and detect: the system compares your physical count with the book and automatically flags the differences.
  • Justify the shrinkage: each adjustment is recorded with a cause (deterioration, theft, error) leaving a trail in the Kardex.

So it doesn't become chaos

Kardex Tauro lets you schedule counts by product, by warehouse zone, or by category. At the end of the count, the system calculates the variance and proposes the adjustment. You authorize it and the Kardex corrects itself — without touching a spreadsheet.

Result: fewer surprises in financial statements, fewer money write-offs for overstated inventories and, above all, a control the auditor will demand with pride.
