Your milk expires tomorrow and you still didn't sell it: the drama of fast-rotating products

The race against time in your café

Milk, fruit and fast-moving supplies move quickly in a café. Too fast to rely on memory. A poorly shelved batch, a lot that doesn't rotate and the result is direct loss: the product expires and gets thrown away.

FIFO and batch: the duo you can't forget

  • Entry with date: when you receive milk or fruit, register the batch and expiry date using Add Serials and the batch fields.
  • Ordered exit: the system shows you which batch expires first; you sell that one, not the one in the back.
  • Visual alert: Kardex highlights batches close to expiry in color, like a traffic light on your screen.

And if it already expired?

With the Shrinkage and Reductions module you record the loss in one click: stock drops and Kardex keeps the accounting entry. The shrinkage is justified — it doesn't vanish into limbo.

So your café stops being a lottery against the calendar. Every cup of milk has an owner, a date and a destination. And you sleep quietly knowing you didn't throw away money by not rotating stock.
